In a controlled experiment, if a bowl of water is placed on a gas stove to boil and a glass is submerged within that bowl, assuming that the water temperature in both the bowl and the glass is initially the same, the inquiry arises as to which body of water will experience faster heating.
Can you make it clear to me? there are two bowls with water in each one and one inside the other one.
If this is right, the outside bowl is going to be heated faster since the heat transfer across the glass is linear, plus the water in the outer bowl needs to be hotter than the glass inside to be possible for the heat transfer to this which needs to be hotter too to transfer heat to the water inside. So it will be heater the outside bowl than the inside bowl.
