I would like to measure the pro and nature BDNF level in mouse brain after acut stress. Now is use these Anti-BDNF antibody [3C11] (ab203573) and I am waiting 30 sec after the acut stress behaviour protocol to the decaptation. But the results have a large standard deviation. Have you any idea, which antitest better or maybe the 30 waitingtime is not enough?

Hi Aletta, 30 sec is a little short to induce transcription, translation and PTM of BDNF. There is a paper, https://www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/19/12/3745/htm
that uses a 45 min interval post stressor (forced swimming) to observe changes in BDNF levels.

, in this article the peak of BDNF protein expression in the hippocampus was around 30 min.
