The difficulty of measuring and estimating child poverty in a territory requires a thorough selection of the criteria. With which to approach this field of study?
Since poor children are those who are born to households with less household income. Household income and socioeconomic class is often estimated by the education of parents. So an approach of documenting the education of parents may give you a way to study the child poverty.
In general, higher the education, higher the household income and hence, the socioeconomic class.
Child nutrition, parents standard of living, access to education, stationary, access to health infrastructure, access to play ground or games, average recreational activities in a month, meal in a day, child labor etc
I think you can also include MDG indicatio r like gender disperity in edu etc
Look up the publications of Keetie Roelen (e.g. False Positives or Hidden dimensions: the definition and measurement of child poverty' - University Maastricht). Based on work in Vietnam.
