Do i need to give Plastic material properties (Yield stress and Plastic strain) to analyze at what load the body gets deformed or only Elastic property(Young's and Poisson's ratio) is enough?
I did analysis using both elastic-plastic properties and only elastic properties and i see a difference in deformation values both visually and in report output.
I disagree. If you only want to know whether the model deforms plastically, it is much easier to perform an elastic analysis and check in the postprocessor whether the von-Mises stress exceeds the yield stress, especially if you have a large model. (Be aware of the fact that contour plots use extrapolation.)
