Please, help me with articles whether there was any change in response to zinc fertilization (soil and soil+foliar) exist in cereals post green revolution (>1970). I wan to know if response has been gone down or up in cereal cultivars developed/released between 1970 to 2010. It does not matter to me whether crops were grown in zinc deficient or sufficient soil condition.
An interesting question to be debated at length with good database studies. But I personally feel , the magnitude of response has gone down .Unfortunately we dont have any systematic database supported study to prove or disprove using georeferenced sampling sites over a period of time with nutrient density of the crop as a response market...
The zinc carrying capacity of the crop has reduced , thereby, inducing a consequent reduction in zinc density of the crop...
