As a young ecologist, I am always looking for better knowledge to improve myself and grow up as a professional ecologist. During this period, we started applying for research funds or research positions (e.g. post-doctoral) to gain that experience and improve ourselves. From the senior ecologist’s point of view, which is more helpful for young researchers (in their CVs): to get their applications considered (e. g. research grant, fellowship); where they published or how many publications they had?
