I am looking for all "equations" in physics where 1/alpha^2 (the inverse square of the fine structure constant) is used. Like in QED and the correlation of the probably of a photon interacting with an electron. Do you know of any places? Thanks in advance! Note: Only interested in the inverse square usage of the fine structure constant.
Dear Dr. Rickey W Austin there is no single equation exist in world to describe any nature, because our math is describing one dimension, static, and it does not recognize temperature and pressure of three dimension of nature that it is changing constantly. Secondly, what is electron? electron never been observed to this date. Yet, mathematic is the greatest tool for our innovation, but it is wrong tool for nature.

This occurs when studying magnetic monopoles, whose coupling constant is, indeed, 1/α, when the coupling constant of electric charges is α.

In Section 3.1 of this recently published article, you will find all cases of use of the fine structure constant for the subatomic level of magnitude.
Also, the Coulomb force equation F=ke2/r2 can be rewritten in the following manner to account for the force related to the transverse decoupling radius of a photon of energy 1.022 MeV, when using the transverse amplitude of its oscillation r=αλ/2π:
F=ke2 4π2/ α2λ2,
in which you directly recuperate the inverse square of the fine structure constant that you are investigating.
