I'm working on a wind energy conversion system control, and I'm struggling to find a realistic wind speed profile data, various studies have been working on an old wind speed measurements at the Dunkerque wind site, so I'm looking for that kind of wind profiles specifically.
or at least simulate one that is close to the reality to conclude on our proposed control scheme.

You can take advantage of the NASA space site to extract the wind data or take advantage of some of the programs that provide you with favorite data such as Homer or RETScreen as a program

There are many simulation softwares available to simulation wind through urban conditions. Many depend on your knowledge of the subject. Butterfly for Grasshopper is a new-ish, user-friendly approach to simulating air flow.
For more local wind speed data, I would recommend exploring WeatherUnderground, which allow you to save data from personal weather stations. You can use the free api key or pay for more access.
