when was the lockdown/quarantine law applied in China and when was lifted?
I understand it was applied on the 29 January 2020 and lifted after 76 days, that is on the 14 April. Is that correct? Is there any source?

China has provided misinformation about the origin of the pandemic and it's response. It is impossible to know exactly what is going on there.
I feel the same: after 20 years we still don't know if SARS gives long-lasting serological protection or how long it will last on surfaces, not to mention vaccines. Where have been the billions in research grants be spent on, then? And unfortunately, herd immunity works at the population level, which means millions of people need to be infected for a greater good. Politicians don't say that when they want to keep the 'business as usual'...
The COVID-19 coronavirus was first detected in Wuhan, China in late December 2019. On January 23 China imposed a strict lock down in Wuhan city. The restrictions were lifted early April when all coronavirus patients had been discharged from hospitals of Wuhan, China. China opened Wuhan city after 76 days lock down on 08. 04. 2020.
