Features of Cabin fever are very similar to that of quarantine fatigue. The syndrome comes in different disguises. I have seen a number of patients presenting with symptoms of depression and anxiety.
i personally think its an adjustment disorder because there is a total reversal of norms that were people's basic lives whereby others are ill adjusted to this type of life causing extreme amounts of frustration
My .02 is that all adjustment disorders are a form of anxiety disorders brought on by the stress of the life event in question. And just like how we see depression symptoms in a large proportion of anxiety disorders, we'll see it in these sort of situations as well. I see that someone above me mentioned Cabin Fever, and that's not a bad comparison, especially when you consider that more severe cases of what we would identify as Cabin Fever have come about due, not only to being socially isolated, but being socially isolated due to a clear and present threat outside the dwelling. I don't know if I would catalog this as a stand alone disorder though, just like Cabin Fever isn't a recognized diagnosis, but rather a term used to describe a collection of symptoms in a very specific situation.
