In my model (predominantly rubber), I get a maximum strain of around 15% compared to the initial state.
I have experimental data for the rubber compound I am using, and I want to know when is it wise to use a Hyperelastic material for rubber in Abaqus?
What would be an alternative to it? A simple, isotropic elastic material with a very low young's modulus and poisson ratio close to 0.5?
Please do let me know your thoughts. Thank you so much in advance.
Check the load vs deformation for 15 % strain if it is linear(less probability) then go for elastic alternative.... otherwise use hyper-elastic model

Thank you for your answer. The stress-strain curve for the uniaxial tensile test for the rubber compound is as attached. The curve is almost linear for 15% strain. What do you think?
