I am working on a grid connected hybrid wind, PV and battery storage systems in DigSilent PF in my research. I have worked on type-4 systems i.e. with PMSG with back to back converter, then connecting it to Synchronous generator (SG) at the PCC wherein I also have a load. When I was giving step load increase, the PMSG was giving its inertial response and then the SG would provide the rest for load depending on the drop in frequency ( the above calculations were made at MW level).

Now, I have replaced PMSG with an Induction generator (IG) and I am giving a step load increase. The problem is I am not getting a step load increase here. It is just showing a spike right at that moment and then settling earlier load value. This is making the SG not to react and the frequency is also not dropping. Any help regarding solving this issue would be helpful.
