As a person who's personally interested in dealing with students affairs, I would say all the points raised are crucial to classroom problems as far as teachers are concerned. Of more importance are points number 4 and 6. Without genuine passion and love for your work as a teacher, it practically impossible to give your best to the students. Teaching profession goes beyond just the wall of the classroom alone. A teacher is many things to different students!

I think that it is when he/she does not have up-to-date information, efficient study and complete mastery of the outline course/courses, Those are rely more on their classical learning/teaching. In my humble opinion, the vision and mission of a university professor is beyond lessons, classes and books and so on so that one of the most important of his/her duties is to a breed a dynamic and productive scientific generation. Unfortunately, such a ones are always in everywhere and it is not belongs to the special country.

This discussion is based on a very common topic, "wrong man in a right job". When recruiters have not recruited the right person then such a situation is created. Thus, the topic of this discussion indirectly highlights the prime importance of the job the recruitment department is doing.

It is important for the administration department to keep a constant vigil on such situations so that these types of situations are not dragged for a long time after creation. Collection of periodical student feed-backs may be useful under these circumstances.

If due to some reasons, there are changes in the professor's attitude and performance levels, he has to be counseled and made to understand the seriousness of his job. He is a nation-builder and that point has to be installed in his system.

Two words: narcissism, apathy

This problem has just prompted me to publish my first preprint titled "Corporate Mind Disorder".

In the paper I show how it is apparent there is mental illness prevalent and persuasive within the corporate entity/mindset

I compared the signs and symptoms of corporate stress AKA business stress with signs and symptoms of mental illness to recognize the correlation and the similarities were the same

This cause me to ask a question; is mental illness prevalent and pervasive within the corporate entity and/or what is being described and diagnosed as mental illness within the general public relatable and definable in terms of what is occurring within the corporate world?

This paper will be very controversial indeed as it leads to my research where where can be found suggestions to a solution for this problem.

What is described in this post here now is reflective of narcissism within the upper echelon of academia

Please forgive me for this but I will be asking and seeking for co-authors on this paper.

Actually the students have an ideal structure of a " TEACHER" in their mind .

If the students are College or University students then they have a picture of Good teachers in their past life.

Main thing is to say Students in a class expect many things from a teacher.

First of all the present of a teacher should create a field over the class that concentrates the students' mind on the teacher.

Next the teacher should discuss the subject matter in such a way that the students get joy out of learning.

So , the knowledge of the subject, the beauty of the subject, the new areas of thinking over the suject should be delivered in front of the students that each one gets spell bound.

Niam, the list of issues that you provided highlight the fundamental importance of teaching and learning at all levels of the education process. A tutor needs not only have mastery of their subject area (i.e. what they teach) but they should equally have mastery of the tools of their trade (i.e. how they teach using varying set of methods and styles). Above all, the tutor should always be inspiring the next generation of tutors, scientists, behaviourial psychologists etc...Interesting topic area for discussions and debate.

When the teacher is rude and condescending to the students. It discourages learning and makes them hate the course even. These types of teachers have led to students even dropping out. They should not be teachers in the first place.

And also when the teacher is a strict disciplinarian...

Such people are not deemed fit to be a teacher. I also came across many such teachers in my 15 years of teaching experience. A teacher is a sage on the stage, whatever he/she does or speak should express the truth based on the necessity at a particular point in time. There are many teachers who speak anything in the classroom without realizing the truthfulness and necessity to speak such words. A teacher should always avoid speaking false, unnecessary, and harmful words while dealing with the students. Such teachers who cannot maintain the ethics of their profession should voluntarily resign from the profession of a teacher - the most respected and noblest job in the world.
