Pls explain the significance of areal vs volumetric capacitance.. Which one to be considered for a material to be used for supercapacitor applications. What are the other critical parameters to be looked into for a material to qualify as Electrode material for supercapacitor. Kindly answer.. Thanks in advance..

areal capacitance matters mostly for thin film micro supercapacitor system. Practically for commercial application, volumatric and gravimatric capacitance matters most.
