Yes, by changing the primary phase from a single component to multicomponent in Fluent, the flow field gets modified.

So, you have to run the simulation after initializing the flow field.

Hi Lister,

AFAIK, the velocity and pressure fields should not change because in species transport mode, only a single set of continuity and momentum equations is solved for all species.

Hi, Lister.

Independently from the software you use, when you change the primary phase for multicomponent, the properties of the fluid would change (viscosity for instance), just like other transport properties. So, the pressure and velocity fields would also be modified.
