I am analyzing a compressor vane segment with 7 airfoil in ANSYS Workbench. 3D prestressed modal analysis is performed to determine the natural frequencies of vane cluster. Then Campbell diagram is plotted regarding the engine order excitations. The problem is that there are lots of modes in an extensive frequency range including operating speed. The question is that how these modes should be dealt? Which modes should be avoided to control resonance? Is the mode shape and excitation shape a defining factor?
