One of the major objectives of Natural Farming is self-reliant farmer and promotion of traditional varieties so that the farmers can use their own seeds. But it is observed that most of the farmers nowadays preserve and use HYVs particularly in Rice for cultivation, storage and for seed purpose instead of traditional varieties.

Traditional varieties are available with only a small section of farmers and if only traditional varieties are allowed in natural farming the farmers will again be dependent on others for seeds. In this case whether HYVs of rice is permissible in natural farming or not. (It did not include Hybrids). Please share your valuable suggestions. Thank you all
