As said Ethnopharmacology is a part of Ethnobotany and it contribute >75% to ehnobotany. Similarly Enobtany is part of Ethnobiology and it contribute > 75% to ethnobiology.
Ethnopharmacology is further divided into ancient methods of diagnosis of diseases, symptoms and etiopathology (onset) and curing of various diseases whether chronic or acute in those days when clinical trials were not available neither the more sophisticated analytical instruments were in use. The modern day ethnopharmacological investigations is more broadly based on the scientific validation of the ethno botanical folk lore available. One can refer to the All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Ethnobiology (1998 - 2002), which gave the first ever ethnopharmacological model called as Kani Model or Pushpangadan Model or even TBGRI model.
