I came across a lot of cases where the supervisors are presenting papers/publishing the work of the STUDENTS without informing or involving the students who actually carried out the research, be it PhD or Masters/Bachelor's thesis...

*** Whats the law and practice of 'Authorship' between supervisor and student?

*** Can students take any action in such case (assuming it's intellectual theft)? OR

*** It's just a normal practice and all srudents must accept it?
