I want to conduct a experiment to explore the effects of intraspecific variation (i.e. genetic diversity ) of a crop on yield and the ability to against disease, so I need to set a gradient of genetic diversity. After reading literatures I understand that intercroping different genotypes, varieties or cultivars will increase genetic diversity but I want know what's the difference between them (i.e. genotype, variety and cultivar).

Can anyeone help me to solve this question, thank you!
