I'm about to start some in vitro work using human brain microvascular endothelial cells (HBMECs).

The company's (Innoprot) suggestion is these cells should be seeded in their optimised medium and on surfaces treated in fibronectin.

I'll grow out the stock in fibronecitn to begin with and freeze my supply then would like to move to a cheaper alternative. Does anyone have experience seeding these cells in cheaper alternatives like gelatin or would that affect their viability, attachment etc.

Thanks all
