I´m searching for experts opinions, advices about lingua geographica acute symptoms ( burning of tongue, pain...) treatment.
We use local corticosteroids, desinficious rinses, magistraliter preparations with panthenol....
any other types, please????

I have colleagues who have tried many remedies. These include:
1. Clonazepam - 0.5 mg a day for three days, increase to 0.5 mg BID for three days and then 0.5 mg Tid upping doses until the burning is controlled. Long term should be in joint treatment with physician.
2. Stress reduction therapies.
3. Acid reflux therapies.
4. TMJ dysfunction therapy.
5. Low Level Laser therapy.
6. Tongue scraping after rinsing with antibacterial rinse.
I'd start with the simplest and most reversible therapies.
Dear researchers,
I kindly ask you about local retinoid. It can be useful for local treatment of some oral mucosa diseases. In my country, retinoid in orabase or diferent type of vehiculum is not avaiable. Is retinoid in your country avaiable as magistraliter formula? If it is possible, do you have any for composition of such magistraliter ? Thank you very much. fo you help!!!
