High levels of spectrographic light emissions in the absorption wavelength of concentrated metalloids on the surface relative to other terrestrial bodies.
Another thing to look into is atmospheric oxygen concentration, but that can be indicative of primitive photosynthesis as well as an essential part of an intelligent species as far as we know, so you would use this just as a back up confirmation on top of the surface metals I talked about above.

Sorry Giovanni, but it seems my answer is purely speculation. My thought process is that terrestrial differentiated planets would not contain heavy metals at the surface, only near the core and in the deep mantle, unless an advanced civilization understood how to dig up and extract heavy metals from crustal rock. This could give a higher concentration of heavy metals on the surface of a terrestrial world in the habitable zone of its star. My idea could not be proven yet, as we have not captured enough direct light from discovered planets within the habitable zone of their parent stars. If were were to detect it, it would be in very faint levels. I am not positive about the spectrum in IR light that such metals could radiate from the surface, but I think it would be an interesting area to research.

I believe identification of planets having Advanced Civilizations will most likely rely on interception of messages produced by these civilizations. Due to the great distances involved this may become or will not become possible.
