Hello, I was testing the corrosion rate of Aluminium when dissolved in a highly concentrated potassium formate. Now I know corrosion rate is influenced by the presence of dissolved oxygen as well as the temperature. I actually wanted to get a standpoint on how the corrosion rate would be affected at a constant concentration of the salt solution and also the impact on dissolved oxygen.
Is there someone who can guide me on this?

Formate is a salt, which means it promotes electrochemical corrosion. Formate can also be a ligand, which means it accelerates the corrosion of non-ferrous metals.
Oleg Novikov Dear colleague, thanks for the answer. The thing is the corrosion rate should increase with temperature, right? However, in my case, the corrosion rate at 35 celsius is greater than the corrosion rate at 45 degrees and I was wondering if the dissolved oxygen became so low at 45 that the corrosion rate reduced.
