I am trying to test bacteria using electrochemical assays to check up for changes when subjected to stress. However, I need a suitable model. So far I have seen that P. aeruginosa has been widely used as a biofilm forming bacteria model. However, few has been said about solid media. One of the main reasons for using solid media here is to avoid interference due to flux conditions, amplify the bacteria sole signal and later, specifically control the biomass. I have been working on this model for a while, however, as my ground education is not in biology, I have grown profound insecurities towards the biological aspect, Can somebody please advice me if P. aeruginosa is a well suited strain, and if so, which would be a good solid media to grow it over??... Thank you!
