I am currently trying to fabricate CoSe@CNTs using the hydrothermal approach. Bt my electrode material shows low activity and XRD scans didn't reveal any peak other than CNTs ( 26.14° and 43.31° ). What should I be doing?

Hi Umar Gondal first confirm the formation of the CoSe using Raman and XPS approach. Since, in XRD analysis the peak intensity of CoSe can be affected by the strong peaks of CNT.
Once you confirmed the formation of CoSe and still your performance is poor
1. Study the Electrochemical impedance of your material and find whether you have any interfacial resistance or not.
2. If NO resistance and your performance is still low.. Try to increase the active sites by morphology tunning/ incorporating defects/ incorporating metal elements.
