One of my friend who works at apotek (pharmacy) do mistake when give the medicine to the patient. This problem happened because of the patient has the same name with the other patient that must consume INH. My friend didn't have any information about the patient address or phone number. The patient is a boy.
So what can we do? We afraid that patient will get the negative effect from INH.
INH is a nasty substance with neurological side effects and liver toxicity on the long run. However, the patient who was supposed to take the Amoxicillin, asvex, inolin is a patient probably suffering a very mild infection and was prescribed the above meds for a week only. INH will not help fighting this patient's infection, and the patient might suffer some numbness or other temporary side effects. Nothing to worry about here, but i'm not sure what do you mean 0.7 mg INH dose? that's rather too low
Thanks God. Actually the doses is for six months baby. The boy intake the INH is a boy about 8 years old.
But we still afraid the boy family will be angry with us when they realize the medicine for their boy is wrong.
INH 0.7mg for patient that supposed to take amoxicillin 500mg is definitely too low. However, this may not pose a significant threat to the patient.
