infographics are becoming increasingly popular in fields of business and education. However, I am wondering if there is a particular software package that is specially suited or customized for creating infographics. I'll appreciate any feedback you can give.

Usually I use Photoshop, Illustrator and sometimes InDesign. If the infograph is not complicated, I may use Powerpoint, Word or Excel.
Hey friends Infographics practical application flavors from region to region that is why no single software can relied up. I agree with Mohammad Elamin Musa Ahmed as to it is the mix which carries the weight. Gap minder is a nice way to bridge technicalities of Visualization Data.
