I need mineral oil for preservation of isolated endophytic fungal colony. But I can't understand what type of mineral oil will be suitable for the purpose. I don't even know where I can find the oil in Bangladesh and how much price will be for that. Will it be costly, if costly what is the cheaper way.
A mineral oil is any of various colorless, odorless, light mixtures of higher alkanes from a mineral source, particularly a distillate of petroleum.
The name mineral oil by itself is imprecise, having been used for many specific oils over the past few centuries. Other names, similarly imprecise, includewhite oil, liquid paraffin, pariffinum liquidum (Latin), and liquid petroleum. Baby oil is a perfumed mineral oil.
