Kimany Fernández Santos I´d start selecting a Psychopedagogical theory.
I´d structure the system of concepts, relevant for digital educational resources (based on the selected theory). In my case, I prefere Historic Cultural and Activity Approach, where around the concept of activity, agents (human subjects), objects and tools are sistemically related.
In the given case, Digital Educational resources (DER) are tools, of informational kind (material are another ones).
The use of digital educational resources and Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) in blended learning processes is supported by several theoretical foundations. These include Constructivism, Cognitive Load Theory, Social Learning Theory, Self-Determination Theory, and Connectivism. These theories provide a framework for understanding and guiding the integration of digital educational resources within VLEs in the context of blended learning. By leveraging these theories, educators can design and implement effective B-learning environments that enhance student engagement, collaboration, and meaningful learning experiences.
The use of digital educational materials and VLEs in teaching and learning is supported by the theoretical foundations of constructivism, connectivism, and technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK). These frameworks enable educators to create pedagogically sound, interesting, and individualized learning experiences that promote participation, teamwork, and knowledge production in online settings.
