I am trying to calculate how many SDS molecules I need in a MD box to achieve a specific concentration (ex: 1M). My first doubt is if I use the box volume or the quantity of water molecules, for the volume part of the concentration.

If the answer is the quantity of water molecules, how to convert this to the precise volume and how could I find how many dodecyl sulfate molecules I need for achieve the 1M concentration?
