I am planning on doing some work on CSF samples to identify the presence of plasma cells. Does anyone has any advice on the volume of sample I should be using? I imagine this would highly depend on the technique implemented?
And when it comes to looking for anti-GAD antibodies in the CSF and serum, are there any specific differences in terms of sample volumes?

Subject's records were reviewed for the final diagnosis pertaining to the lumbar puncture, CSF white blood cell (WBC) count, red blood cell (RBC) count, WBC differential. Slides were then reviewed with a 100-cell differential count specifically looking for the presence of plasma cells or plasmacytoid lymphocytes based on standard morphologic criteria [10].
