Very interesting question, as this is something I would like to know also and how it can be used to detect dead cells in the brain of a cadaver that had a stroke. I hope people can answer this question.
Neuronal death due to brain infarction can be identified by using 2,3,5 triphenyltetrazolium chloride. But Im not sure whether it can be used to visualise dead cells in the brain of a cadaver that had a stroke.
