I am trying to perform a E & L study on polyurethane foams. So far, I have done it by immersing the polyurethane foams in 99 % IPA for 24 hrs. This process does a decent job of cleaning. My next approach is to introduce agitation. I am hoping with agitation, the cleaning process would be faster than what we have right now.
But we would like the extraction process to be much more rapid than what we have right now, ideally not more than few hours (or even less). Does anyone here have any experience on this? Is there any other chemical I should be looking into? The chemical should be non toxic and non flammable.
Thanks,
