I am using Ag/AgNO3 reference electrode and Pt mesh as counter electrode. I am looking a larger oxidation potential window than 0.1M TBAPF6 in Acetonitrile.
If you are looking for a larger oxidative window, then the limitation in acetonitrile tends to be the anions, such as PF6. The use of ionic liquids as supporting electrolyte has significantly expanded the oxidative window; http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cphc.200500361/abstract
However, the best anion (FAP) is very expensive... Maybe tetraalkylammonium fluoride will work? Alternatively, moving to pure ionic liquids might help.
