You must have given a glimpse of equations and also if your equations are being solved with various for loops associate with different parameters or they just constants in equation for one problem!

Anyway, MATLAB is fast enough to solve this problem if code written efficiently.

You should try with Mathematica's NDSolve function.

For delayed differential equations it is typically a lot faster than dde23.
