For hybrid microwave heating what should be the range of silicon carbide plate which can perform well in heating and melting process. Can we use 15mm to 20mm thick silicon carbide plate as microwave susceptor material?

this depends on the application, and the type of silicon carbide you are trying to use. do you have any information about the dielectric properties of your materials?

Sir the material to be processed is aluminium and it's alloy. The dielectric constant for aluminium range in between 1.6 to 1.8 .
