I want to print a working electrode of carbon on a glass substrate using screen printing techniques. The area of working electrode is 25mm square. My questions are:
1. Is there any effect of working electrode thickness on the electrochemical response?
2.If so, then what should be the minimum thickness, I can opt for for a better response?
3. Is there any standard thickness for the electrodes printed using scree printed technique?

1. YES, sometimes current crowding can happen due to low thickness of electrode.
2. Simulating software can be used so that we can obtain this optimum thickness. ( We should include the effect of current crowding or bandgap narrowing etc. to predict the most accurate performance.)
3. It varies from case to case. In my case, kesterite solar cell there is 50/100nm electrode printed on the top.
