what is the preferred flow rate in an assay to wash hydrogels in a microfluidic device? Is it advisable to have flow rates in the range of 10ul/min or more?
Hi Bhavna, Theo is right. Flow rate is volume per time. Therefore, depending on the dimension of your channel, the flow rate may be slow or quite fast. Do you have any special features inside of your microfluidic device that you are worried about destroying?
Hi Karolina and Theo, depth of the channel is around 200 microns and width is around 500 microns at places where hydrogels are placed. Since hydrogels are porous 3D structures, I believe that washing them throughly is a challenge.
