I am working on Hg(II) adsorption by calcium/sodium alginate beads. In buffer solution (pH 6.5) beads are not stable. Please suggest me alternative of sodium phosphate buffer.
Calcium is not compatible with phosphate buffer at that pH; it precipitates and the pH is not maintained. Try maleate buffer.
