What should be the alternative of phosphate buffer (pH 6.5) to prevent Mercury hydrolysis?

I am working on Hg(II) adsorption by calcium/sodium alginate beads. In buffer solution (pH 6.5) beads are not stable. Please suggest me alternative of sodium phosphate buffer.
