As a human being, our main aim as a human being is to be happy. A person who is happy, makes other person feel happy and the world will become a better place. For people who claim that living for other, being helpful etc. is the meaning of life, I would like to say that if the person is happy, he will do all these and much more due to his mental state.
Happiness is the feeling of pleasure or contentment, which comes from within yourself and is not depended upon external materialistic factors. Feeling of contentment occurs when you find your life meaningful, bot for you and others. people often get confused with happiness and pleasure however both are different states. You can get pleasure while watching a movie, eating a nice meal or being in someone's company, however you can't call this happiness. Happiness has different meaning for different people, however being happy gives fulfillment to a human being like nothing else can. Famous author Dan Gilbert (Stumbling on Happiness) has scientifically proven that every individual has the innate capacity to find happiness and that the pursuit of happiness in not necessarily in the external factors like wealth or health barring a few exceptions.
You could argue that human life made the planet worse, so if you don't specify more parameters a very good answer would be to stop making things worse and then maybe even start to make things better.
But since humans tend to be rather selfish (both on the individual level and on the population level) that's unlikely to happen.
If you are more focussing on the personal level, interpretation of the answers will highly depend on the denotation of the used words, which you might not have direct access to or could even misinterpret.
So you'll need demographic information and even a rather high amount of information on the social background to interpret the answer.
Some might want to "crush their enemies, see them driven before them and hear the lamentation of their women."
Others would rather enjoy a sunset at the beach.
If the answer given is striving for an ideal (freedom, happiness, enlightenment, knowledge), the next question ist to ask for the boundaries. Individual happiness? Group happiness? How to determine what to prioritise? How to weigh the individual levels of happiness? How do you determine happiness?
Are high dopamine levels (say by drug injection) a valid answer? How does happiness correlate to time? Do you value a few high peaks more than a steady line on a lower level (assuming the same mean)?
Same for all the other ideals. They are not very well defined.
So, I'd like to ask you to frame your question in a way that allows us to give a more specific answer. With the question as-is, chances are the answers will most likely be on the "motivating poster level."
The aim of our life as being human is that we should increase the life of human providing pollution free environment so that every body will get enough food to eat, non polluted water to drink and clear air to breath. Every body should be self satisfied with an increased life expectancy more than 85 years..
To preserve our humanity, when we preserve it and act humanely with everything on the surface of our planet, then everything will be fixed, and all our problems will be over... Unfortunately, this is very difficult with the presence of greed, selfishness, and other qualities that make a person forget that he is a human being...My sincere gratitude to everyone.
“The aim of life is self-development. To realize one's nature perfectly-that is what each of us is here for. People are afraid of themselves, nowadays. They have forgotten the highest of all duties, the duty that one owes to one's self. Of course they are charitable. But their own souls starve, and are naked” - Oscar Wilde
Aim of our lives is simply to work with others in making this world sustainable, safe and peace for live sustenance with the hope of being path of the joyfully world that is to come afterwards where sorrows, worries and other bad fortunes would be no more. That's my opinion.
The purpose of life is to live and let live. The societal living is possible when there are communal harmony and feeling of brotherhood among its members. ... Every human being seeks salvation after having led a full life.
Yadav, the aim of our life as human should be what God intended it to be. God was trying to make a friend, a steward to tend his garden in Eden. God says in Genesis 1: 26 - "And God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish (them means he was referring to woman too) of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.....
So, Yadav what we have here is a beautiful world with a man (male and female) there was no sin. Sin separated man from God because God is holy. That's why God made plans to redeem man back to him. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Savior we are on the road that leads us back to God and everlasting life.
God loves man. Man rejects God and I know this hurts God. That's why man will one day have to be judged for what he is doing in rebellion (male and female). God cannot let evil destroy earth or any world. Jesus is coming back one day and righteousness will be ruling the earth again.
We will receive crowns of righteousness and given earthly responsibilities according to what our abilities are. Remember the story of the talents in Matthew 25 around the 24 verse. Read it and understand why it is important to labor and work now as a steward of God. How to invest. And receive profit for the Lord in business. God Bless.
