There is good reason to suppose that stories are well remembered, but I am not aware of much research on this as a teaching technique. I mean teaching in general here, not just within language/literature learning. For example, the use of narratives to learn social sciences (rather than learning via a factual overview). I understand the basic psychology behind how we interpret and remember stories, but can anyone point me in the direction of specific theories/researchers in terms of using narrative as a teaching & learning technique?
