For example, are you looking to examine whether the age of the defendant serves as a variable when it comes to the disposition of a death sentence? Whether there is a correlation between the severity of the psychological effects and the age of the offender while serving a death sentence? Etc.

Do I think in the right direction? You are conducting research in the field of psychology? Do you look for attitude towards capital punishment or something else?

I was conducting the research to search for connections between religiosity and the attitude to death penalty. Research focuses on the question is there any connection between one’s religiosity and his (her) attitude to death penalty. The general assumption was that there is some connection between these variables. To verify the hypotheses that had been assumed, 100 respondents (55 women and 45 men) were tested by the following methods: The Scale of Relationship to God by D. Hutsebaut, the Religious Attitudes Scale by W. Prężyna, The Scale of Personal Religiousness by R. Jaworski and Scale of Attitudes to Death Penalty by Śliwak, Korczyński. The findings confirmed the main assumption that there is a connection between variables. Other hypotheses were partially confirmed. Some differences were observed between the group of men and the group of women. In this very moment I am sampling data to perform the factor analysis of the attitude questionnaire. I did not find any significant correlations between the age and attitude towards CP. If you have more question, I will gladly share my knowledge with you.

1. Correct me if I am wrong? You want to find out if age predicts the attitude towards capital punishment?

2. As I was conducting my research I found out that age below 35 years and above 35 year is predictor of general attuite towards CP, t= -3,181, df= 522; p= . 002; prophylactic aspect, t= - 3.304, df= 522, p= .001 and Compensation to the Society t= - 2,289, df = 522, p =.022. The were no significant differences in the moral aspect. I know that age can change the general attitude, but there can be also other factors that can influence persons’ attitude. Only age is to little. Study by Breckler (1984, p.1203) reveal, that taking account of all three components of attitude (affective, behavioral, and cognitive) was better at predicting overall attitudes than any single factor alone.
