I plan to process soil samples with gamma irradiation. Obviously, they have to be kept in airtight plastic bags for no later air exchange and possible contamination. I was initially considering thermo-sealed autoclave bags but I am not so sure to use them anymore as they are supposed to let the steam pass through, I wonder whether the porosity would allow outside microorganisms to get in. Any thought or proposition is welcome.
