Hi Makinde,

I guess you are looking for something like fusing remotely sensed data of different (low, moderate, high) resolution by means of some regression methods. A look on this paper maybe a step towards what you're looking for(http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/01431161.2014.990645)

But, we'd come up with a new approach, instead of fusing image of different resolutions, combing image of the same resolution from different sensor eg (Landsat5, 7 and 8) might have more advantages over that of fusion eg (landsat and Modis). You may also have a look on our paper on this, especially when dealing with tropical areas that cloud cover always used to be an issue.
