Aims Neuroscience is requesting paper submissions for our October issue. Manuscripts will need to be received by August 28, 2014, and decisions on acceptance will be completed by September 28. Research suggests learning two languages prior to the age of 7 show extensive overlap while learning a second language later in life overlap much less. What theoretical mechanisms account for this sensitive period and why are different areas activated dependent on the age one learns a second language? A second aspect is whether there are other factors involved with the presence or absence of overlap? Please feel free to add your comments and insights here.
