Exposure of tungsten target to the high-density plasma jet was seen to produce a range of complex micro-structured morphologies ( may be polyhedral particles, aggregated hopper or spherulitic structure).I want to know whether I am on the right track or rather they are something else.

Look up Hopper mechanism of crystal growth, I think this is what you are looking at especially the middle images.
Thanks madam Jones..Have you ever noticed such kind of structures formation for Tungsten or may be some other crystals??
I think they are quite common for metals crystallised from vapour type methods and is commonly seen for Bismuth and also in solution crystallisation such as sodium chloride.
As tungsten is a very high temperature material with very low vapour pressure, formation from vapour might not have happened rather it might have formed from its melt. But again whether such structrctures form from melt or not??
