Dear Researchers,

I am working on the dissimilar resistance spot welding of Fe-Mn-C-Al austenitic steel (with other alloying elements such as Si, Ni, Cr, Ti, Mo, Zr, V, Nb etc. in small amount) and DP steel. I have observed a low peak load during cross tensile test (CTT) with the crack propagation is through Fe-Mn-C-Al austenitic steel fusion zone. The failure mode is usually interfacial or partial interfacial. The micro structure in the fusion zone of both the steels observed to be columnar dendritic. Also, EBSD results show the presence of martensite in the fusion zone of Fe-Mn-C-Al austenitic steel.

Can you please give me some suggestions, directions or related literatures?

Thanking you and best regards
