This is the very typical color of Molybdenum (VI) -Molybdenum (IV) mixed oxides (molybdenum blue), for example Mo2O4(OH)2. The blue color of the solution means that the MoS2 has been oxidized to MoO3 and Mo2O5.

It is indeed an oxidized form of molybdenum. We have obtained it during the exfoliation of MoS2.
